Jen Garrido constructs her paintings and works on paper by using a delicate balance of choice and process. She favors nature-based forms and rhythms and is drawn to shapes that tangle, overlap, sit, lean and lay. Often the end result of her paintings lean heavily on nature-based compositions, but in other works she explores the balance between the architectural and organic, as well as the biomorphic form. Jen was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA and currently lives and works in San Francisco, CA.
